Do you want Halo 4?

The HALO storyline wasnt meant to last forever, so just leave it at 3, theres only so much to HALO because its quite a narrow and boring storyline. MGS still has a long way to go in my opinion with alot of gaps still left open, this is why we all want to and will see more XD - and please dont call me a fanboy, if you look I have "previously" owned a 360...xXModern_MythXx

2. this is about halo not MGS and im a lemming and i also have a PS3 my psn id is Dream0fChaos, so just owning the other ystem doesnt rule you out of being a fanboy.

also no i dont want them to make a fourth halo since they killed it with the 3rd one i dont care what others think about it that game was dissapointing, and this is comming from a hardcore halo fan.

The story arc has been completed so no I would not like Halo 4, but another story arc would be cool.microsoft4life

Exactly. Halo 4 would be a sweet game. However, I do have to admit that even though Halo 3 had much better online gameplay than Halo 2, I did not play it as much. For instance, I have not played the game online in about four months.

Halo disappointed me too, and I'm a hardcore fan of the story. Another one would kill it, plus I don't like the idea of there being a 4 at the end of Halo, that's not a trilogy. I wouldn't mind if Bungie went off on a different route with Halo and called the game something different. Maybe something to do with the Forerunners? A Marathon remake? maybe even carry on Master Chief's story from where Halo left off, but not Halo? Either way I'm glad Bungie is doing something different but I'm gonna hate the people who will compareanything else Bungie does back to Halo.

change or write a new story line. And I don't think that's a good idea because the story is finished after halo 3.

i said no for a few reasons.

1. the storyline from the first three has ended. if they were to continue it they would have to create a new storyline and it would be practically impossible to make it good enough to live up to peoples expectations. thus contributing to the problem of number 4.

2. ive had enough of master chief. a game in the same universe? sure, as long as mc isnt in it. or maybe just a small and relatively insignificant role. actually if they do make another game id like it to be more focused on the forerunner.

3. i dont want to listen to a bunch of idiots talk about how its 'the best game ever made.'

Yes I want Halo 4. The whole series is definitely my favorite FPS series, mostly because there isn't really anything cheap about online. It takes some skill to get and hold onto the best weapons in game, not just getting blown up 2 seconds into a match because of some idiot using the noob tube. It's always fun to scramble for the weapons.

I love the Halo games, but part of me feels they need to move on to something new and part of me is pumped this is coming out. I'm just sort of sick of blowing $59.99 on their games then blowing $20.00+ on map packs. Halo 3 I bought three map packs 3 maps in each and I think I bought two map packs for Reach. Can you say squeeze... Do they have George Lucas working for them or what?? Yes I had a blast with Halo 3, but this will be the third game since Halo 3. What is it really??? Same game with updated graphics, some new maps and a campaign that will keep us busy. But will the Campaign be relevant??

I feel innovation is getting tossed to the side with most new games... It almost seems like the 343/ bungie guys ( or whatever they go by now ) can't really come up with anything new. I almost feel like game developers think gamers are **** dumb and will buy recycled games that are almost 10 years old. Halo 3 was released in 2007 just to let you know...If you were to compare Halo 3 to Halo 4 I bet it won't be that huge of a difference with graphics. I know the game isn't out yet, but it should. My predictions.. $59.99 + 2-3 map packs of 3 maps per DLC. 2400 ms points for more maps..

Even though the above post is from 2008 I think it shows how people feel. Its kinda silly to have a new company take over one of the most iconic franchises in gaming and expect it to live up to the hype. Besides, frankly Halo is kinda stale. Don't get me wrong, it is an excellent series, but what can they do with it? 343 is going to likely take it in an all new direction. Bungie probably wants a chance to redeem themselves after the community reaction to Reach.

Sure, why not?, as long as it does'nt pander to the online community, and gives me a solid single-player game with better default weapons, grittier gameplay, bigger maps, maybe even a Halo RPG, who knows? franchises need to improvise and evolve.
