does any one else hate this ??????

i wanted to buy gears of war for my birthday(i become 16 real soon) but my moms like "But that game is for people over 17 and its too violent and i dont want you playin these kind of games " and to add to that she takes the liberty of goin ahead and buyin viva pinata(its ok coz she lemme get it exchanged for NBA) but man i'm sick of this its like dont play gears u'll become a chainsaw weilding lunatic or dont listen to death metal u'll bcome a serial killer or something i mean why do ppl lay so much importance on stuff like movies(oh BTW i didnt get to watch saw3 either),music and video games coz der were crazy ppl even bfore this stuff came out i mean did hitler play video games??? did he listen to death metal????no did turkish ppl watch movies with serial killers bfore they went about the armenian holocast ????no

why is it that after 1 year i will be deemed fit to chainsaw ugly creatures and also watch movies like saw what is the difference????its not like graduation or something is it?????

When Conkers Bad Fur Day came out on the N64 I rented it the frist year and played it quite a bit but the next year when I went to rent it for my B-Day the stupid person working the counter did'nt let me have it. I got it for X-Mas year after so I was happy. But yes that kind of stuff pisses me off. I also went to buy DeadRising a mounth before I turned 17 and the person working the counter asked me if I was 17... I mean come on I'm turning 17 in a month! Atleast I bought it there and then. Right now I am still 17 but I don't care if someone says I can't buy a game rated for 18+ because trust me I will get it.

I dont agree with your mom (i fi had a kid i could car eless what he played as long as he didnt copy it) But,I agree with the law if kids could just buy game without parental approval then if the parents find it the video game company Or the stor ewho sold it would get sude.So thay made this law.

 In Closing yes it sucks but viva pinata is a fun game and you traded it for an ea game so...hahha

Well, I applaud your mother for trying to do what is right, but if you are mature enough I would let my son play GoW at 16. I am assuming she is REALLY strict or you just don't demonstrate a level of maturity at your age to make her bend the bar a bit. Now while you are angry at what your mother is doing it comes to my mind that by doing this (angrily posting on a web forum) you probably arn't mature enough for it. If you were mature you would either have let it go or tried to reason with her by telling her that you can take out the extreme gore. Instead however you get onto a gaming website and make an "angry" topic.

Oh and another thing that makes me think you may not be mature would be the fact that half your sentences don't make sense because they are mixed up with different ideas and thoughts. Truly though typing "coz" and "der" makes me question a lot about you. I mean this is not a damn phone... you can type out an actual word.
