If they are "DUDS" than why would anyone want them? If the games sucks than I don't want it even if it is free. LeviLRP
No they are just taking down the games that haven't sold very well that doesn't mean they're bad. If they were free maybe I could find something I like. All I'm saying is if they're pulling them down anyway why not just release them for free first its just a thought.
Oh Microsoft look into your hearts and try to win the hearts and minds of other people. (Besides yourselves)
(Please note, I am not insane)

If you want to try a game and see if you like it you should look into the free demos that every arcade title has on live. What games are they getting rid of any way?

Thats the point I don't know what they're getting rid of they only announced they are going to pull the games that weren't selling too well. So I was just thinking making them free before they got rid of them would be nice (and we all know how M$ likes to treat its customers ;)).
Actions like this further devalue Gamerpoints for anyone that legitimately cares about them.
What happens 5 years down the road when someones sat on 300,000 points, and now newbie A can't get anymore than 295,000 because of all the XBLA titles they took down.
Sure it might not matter to most people, which is fine, people who dont care about them feel free to continue doing that. Howver, those who DO care, this means that they become even more convoluted and rediculous. I mean there is already a disadvantage to people in the UK because some games never made it over here.
Personally, disregarding points for a moment, I feel this is a rediculous move, people pay them LOTS of money to keep the service up and running, they should have ample storage space for this stuff. I mean STEAM has all its old stuff, and is even adding more old stuff all the time and they arent threatening to remove it if you dont buy it, and they dont have a steady payed subscription service to maintain there servers.
MS rake in $8 a month from each person on LIVE Gold, I would imagine keeping these products on the marketplace is hardly going to cripple them. I reckon it's just scare tactics to try and raise some sales for those particulat games. If they DO remove them, it goes against everything digital distribution stands for, and against several promises MS made from the beginning.
What they should be doing, is reorganising the marketplace better, and maybe dropping the price on some of these games, or selling them in budget 'packs' to boost sales, not removing them altogether that benefits nobody.
If you dont want crap games on your service, run better quality control, once a game is put it, it should stay up on the marketplace forever.
Edit:
Also to people worrying about which games, it doesnt matter. They said they would give 3 months notice before pulling the games, and would announce which games at the start of the 3 month period.
I still think its completely wrong.
