I think It's pretty good IMO. Yeah, the games are overpriced, like COD 2 is $30 (Which I found ridiculous), but It's pretty good If you can't find the games that you need on the Stores, which half the time, the games I need are sold out (Stupid Gamestop and way more other stores).but It's on Games on Demand so I'll download it there, lol. Oh, and yes guys, Im a very lazy person to get up and go, since I have School and Work half the time, so yeah! I want to point that out before you all say that to me.

Anyways, does anyone like this feature? Or you don't? Feel free to say it.

Not really for me. There are plenty of places for me to buy the game so I really see no need for buying stuff on there.

"Not the best". It's a great thing but what's holding back, imo, are the prices. If MS had deals on them like steam that would be perfect. They have it in them because I got great deal on Batman: Arkham Asylum for $12 on GFWL .

The games are way cheaper in otherplaces.. which was stated before, but I also don't like it because it takes up way to much space on my HDD. Im still kickin the good ol 20gb HDD because they are just too damn expensive. When MS shoots out the update for external hdd support I might use it.. but thats if the prices are the same or better.. MS needs to do what steam does for the pc gaming community.. those deals are just incredible.. if MS did that.. then id be all over it and give it 2 thumbs up.

It's cool but they need to bring down the prices considering there is no resell value.

Yeah, Ive only bought Max Payne and Max Payne 2 off it. Didn't seem that overpriced, i got max payne 2 for just 800 points, and there are no stores here that still sell xbox games unless i go looking online. I find it more convenient to just start the game up from the dashboard rather than putting in a disc.

The only game that I will ever buy from it would probably have to be RE4 since I've never played it and i don't wanna play on pc since the controls are really annoying. Other than that I guess it's not bad for people that slow in buying games. I always play games when theyre out so it doesn't really help since I've already played all the interesting games on there before.

I imagine it's great for some. I have no use for it and will always get a disk when possible.

No, I can get Perfect Dark Zero for less than 10 bucks in it's limited edition while GOD sells it for 1600 MP here in Mexico.

If they released a game on there that I wanted and didn't already have I might consider it.

if the games were about 1/4 the price (the price i can find them anywhere else) i would consider it. but 30 dollars for an old game you can get for 5-10 dollars is laughable.

I've never used it, and from what I hear, the games are much more expensiveon this service. I like having the box and the manual anyway.

Way too overpriced and most the game are readily avaliable on ebay or game/gamestation in the uk for like quarter of the price.

I'd say "pretty good". I like the convenience since much of the time finding the games in brick-n-mortar stores isn't guaranteed. Nor is there a guarantee about the condition of the disc.

With Games on Demand, or any digitally distributed game, it's brand new. Not a disc that riff raff put their grubby mitts all over.

So far, I have NFS Most Wanted and am thinking about picking up BF Bad Company and Crackdown.

I'm not a fan. The games are overpriced. You can usually find games cheaper on Amazon.com.

i like it and wish they would have every new release go straight there, that way you dnt have to worry about not getting it or midnight launches. you could still pre order it then (if u have ur box set for background downloads) it would automatically dl it right at midnight of the release date.

I got Mass Effect on Games On Demand for $20, about $10 less than it costs used in stores. It works perfectly, and I run no risk of scratches. I say it's a great service.

Or they could let you download it before the release date, but only allow it to be played come midnight. That would be better for me since it would take me hours and hours to download a game with my slow ass internet :P

Umm, what are you talking about? Mass Effect has been priced at $20 retail since last May, long before GoD came out.

It still counts as money though. Your spending Microsoft points on a game like Dead Rising that is $20 (1600 Microsoft points), so GoD is not going anywhere, like Arcade games.

To me it's worthless. I can get those games far cheaper and with limited hard drive space (20 gig) it's value just diminishes even further.

Let me start with I like this feature very very much and I look at this service as the future of game distribution. I've got Xbox 360 S elite (which I bought after my old one got the RRoD treatment the second time) and I've got a decent internet connection to download stuff. What I'm running out of is the space to store my games in. It's simple, you download and you play the games, you don't have to carry the fragile discs when you do the all time popular relative visits in the countryside, etc. Playing with lower noise, keeping the disc drive from use are all advantages of this method. Of course, there is no physical product in your hands which can be unfavoured by some. But it's a good thing overall. Of course there some flaws to the system which keeps it to become more popular. 1: Price. Some of the games have cool prices but some are way too expensive. You can cut down the expenses of the disc/case/manual right from the start and still kinda pricey. 2: Regional lock, which have an effect on the first point. You can't buy just anything from anywhere, which makes sense if you talk about the DVD regions (Pal/secam etc), but it's locked even inside said territories. And of course have different prices. I live in a central European country and I have access to 320+ games (including arcades, no indie titles at all). The UK store have access 2450+ games, that's a significant difference, and there is no way around it (as far as I can tell, except for the obvious solution). And some of the games are cheaper for me, I bought NFS:MW for 9.9 GBP while the UK store has it for 14.9 GBP. Even Halo Reach is cheaper with 8 GBP. But the selection lock is the bigger deal. It's like MS don't want to make money.

I've never used and don't really plan on it unless they change it drastically. Newer releases, realistically priced games, and better sales would probably have me interested, but essentially, as the service stands now, I'm paying more for less.

Depends on what you are buying tbh, like halo reach is like 50 poundswhich is a total rip off but games like RDR is only 20 pounds which is quite good tbh as it means i dont have to walk 20-30mins to closest game shop :)

Pretty good selection of games, but they're all pretty expensive, think I saw Halo Reach for £50!

Also it takes away the resell value :)

I don't like the Games On Demand feature on XBL. The games are so everpirced there, compared to online retailers like Amazon or eBay.

With all the great games coming out right now, and the fact that I need to save money for college in the fall, I can't really afford to spend 30 bucks on a game I could get for 5 with some patience and legwork

Not a big fan. The games are overpriced, which is crazy because you don't get a retail box and you forefit the option to trade the game. If anything they should be at least $5 cheaper than the retail price. The only game I bought from Games on Demand was DeathSmiles II X because it was ON LY released there. I like it in theory, but hate the execution. It should be used as a low risk method for smaller developers to release their games without a big monetary commitment on their end. Instead they overcharge $10-$20 for virtual games that take up space on your HD and you don't get a physical copy of the game.

If it was cheaper than buying the game from a shop I'd maybe use it but the fact that it's incredibly overpriced means that I don't even consider it.

Cool concept but stupid pricing imo. It shouldn't cost the same amount of $$$ as it does to goto a store and buy the game.

The two main reasons I dont like/use it is because 1. Every single game is at least $10-$20 more than what i can go to the store and get it for, it should be at least $10 cheaper because you dont get an actual disc or case. and 2.I only have a 20Gb hard drive lol.

I like it a lot. I've probably purchased nearly half of my games using it.
