Does anyone plan on getting all of Mega Man 9's achievements?

I read through the achievments and in-game challenges for this game, and most of them seem almost impossible. Truly worthy of the word: "Achievment"... I give props to anyone that can get even just get half the achivments and challenges... are these the most challenging points to get or are there more difficult achievements than this?

I mean: Clear the game without dying, clear the game 5 times in 1 day? wow...

Beating the game five times in one day isn't that hard. It's just kind of annoying.

So far I have 55 of the achievements. Beat the game, kill all bosses with main weapon, kill a boss without getting hit, kill 1,000 enemies. I don't know what enemy I am missing for the kill one of every enemy achievement. If I wanted to I might be able to get the beat the game in 60 minutes or less, could beat the game without continuing, beat it five times, and defeat every type of enemy. The rest I wouldn't even try for.

I'm considering going after 200/200. I am on 130 right now. I'll never say the game is easy but the achievements start to look a lot more attainable the more you play. MM9 seems over-the-top difficult when you play through it the first time or first few times, but if you keep playing it, you're going to get to a point where all of a sudden you just start plowing through the game with little trouble.

Getting the Invincible achievement isn't easy but also isn't as impossible as it seems. First, you don't have to beat it in one sitting -- if you die, you can reload your save file. Plus, by the time you are ready to get that achievement, you'll probably have figured out most of the enemy weaknesses. If necessary you can go back and farm screws for items, but chances are you'll have memorized the game enough to do it without needing to farm. You still have to go through the final castle without screwing up, which is kind of a pain because even if you get to the point where you can own all the enemies and bosses, there are still jumps that are easy to screw up, but it's a doable achievement for sure.

I need the ones where you beat the game without using an E or M tank, beat it five times in a day (which isn't hard, just time consuming), beat it with minimum weapon energy, and beat it by fighting minimum enemies, which is the one I'm on now. I am not sure if I will go after all those yet but I might.

Getting 100% of the challenges, on the other hand... that's hardcore!

No way Joe Say!

That's the kind of stuff that would make me hate games.

Those achievements are just busywork created by an uninspired game maker.

I don't think so. I've been reluctant to get this game because I sorely lack proper gaming time as of lately, but this weekend, I'll have my manhood tested. Once again.

I'll probably start silently weeping within the hour.

I don't know, I think the game is really fun to play so I don't mind. :) There are achievements out there that are a lot more of a grind than these imo.

I think the game is outstanding too, I'm so glad they made it.

Achievements like this are just abusive though.

I'm all for difficulty with some challenges but challenges like these with going through the game 5 times? That's just someone who couldn't think of a better task.

Yeah I'd agree that one is kind of unneccessary. The game is short enough where you can do it in an afternoon if you had it memorized and you didn't take much of a break, so it's not too bad of a grind, but it's still kind of an unimaginative achievement. The other ones offer at least some sort of twist on what you need to do, but that one's just whether or not you want to take the time to do it. Doesn't look like Capcom picked up on the fact that people didn't care for their all-day Dead Rising achievements.

I already have all the achievements.... also the challenges I almost have all, I only need two more.

MR Perfect - not getting hit once

Truly addicted - Finish the game 30 times

I had a lot of fun getting all of them but these last two I know they're possible but I'm not sure if it's worth that much work to get them :P

They're pretty ridiculous.

I still think that Smash TV has the hardest, though. Beating the ENTIRE game on one continue?

Yeah right.
