Isn't there consideration of them phasing out the elite? It will allow MS to market those consoles as "limited editions" packaged with triple A titles. Like the Resident Evil bundle.

That would be terrible. Well there's talk. It's rumor right now I believe, but it sounds like a possibility. Xbox 360 Elite being phased out in favor of limited edition models?

That means I wouldn't be able to use my best buy warranty to just swap my 360 the same day it dies. I had to use that last week and luckily got a second fable 2 and halo 3 with it. Now I am gonna haven't to do the call method where they ship me a gift card for the amount I payed......if the rumor is true.
The current model is actually quite small, probably why it had the heat issues to begin with. Had it been ugly and massive like the PS3 then yes, I would really hope for a new slim model. Honestly, I just wish they would tweak the inside a bit to increase air flow. I mean, a modern GPU and CPU need active cooling! Oh well, I still love the darn thing!
i jut hope they do announce a new one, i feel the 360 is a joke, we need something that can handle this new metal gear coming out... or maybe they could create a multi disk changer add on, so that its not an incconvience to have a game with 5 dvd's then we might be able to handle MGS4 port if they dumb it down a bit
