How do you connect to your 360 wireless? I thought the only way to connect your 360 to the internet wirelessly was by buying the network adaptor made by MS?

I have used a D-Link DGL-4300 router for about 7-8 months now and it is a great router, as I have no lag ever with it and I get an "open NAT" on my Xbox360. I used to use a Netgear RP614v2 router, as it was great for use onmyPC and for PC online gaming but on my Xbox360 it was horrible. With that Netgear router I had a "strict NAT" on my Xbox360 and I was unable to connect and to play most Live games and the couple of Live games that I was able to connect and to play lagged alot.

Here's a link about different types of NATs on the Xbox360: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/connectionmethods/troubleshootliveconnection-testnat.htm

Here's a link for Xbox Live Compatible routers: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/homenetworking/equipment.htm

Uh. I'm still confused. Right now I use the ethernet cable to connect my 360 to the router directly. But that's cumbersome, given that the cable stretches across my living room and people could trip over it. So my question is, is it possible to connect the 360 to my router without having to buy any other accessory other than the ones provided with the 360 I bought?

No, you have to buy that $100 wireless adapter. But that router Im asking about also has ethernet ports and Im just gonna run a cable to my 360 to save that $100. Plus that wireless can replace the WiFi USB Connector that I use for my Wii and DS. Still confused?

I have a D-link Wireless-N Router. It's the step up from Wireless-G routers. They say its 300 time faster? I havnt had any slowdowns. I has range booster and anaward winning OoS engine (for speed I guess and data processing).I run 2 xbox 360's wirelessly a Ps3 and two other computers in my home and sometimes they are all on.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I have the 625 version, there is the 650 and now the new 655 i hear is really good.

I have the 655 model. It's really good. The Wi-Fi is great, I've been using it for my Wii and PS3 and it works perfectly. If only the 360 was Wi-Fi and didn't require a wireless adaptor:(

I know, they are expensive for the 360 but its worth it in the end.
