As long as it isn't at all violently shaken there should be no problem.

Just be sure to remove any disc that is inside of the 360 or else it will get scratched when the 360 shakes.

360 only scratches discs if the dvd drive is spinning (ie you move your 360 with it turned on and a disc is in it)

but it doesnt hurt your system to move it from point a to point b as long as your not moving it with your foot kicking it like a soccer ball.

I brought my xbox 360 on a trip with me and I put it in the trunk of my car. Inside it was my copy of Halo 2. The constant shaking of the car made the disc reader rub up against the disc in ways it is not supposed to, and when I took the disc out, my used to be scratchfree disc was entirely covered with very light scratches.

I brought my xbox 360 on a trip with me and I put it in the trunk of my car. Inside it was my copy of Halo 2. The constant shaking of the car made the disc reader rub up against the disc in ways it is not supposed to, and when I took the disc out, my used to be scratchfree disc was entirely covered with very light scratches.

i modified my 360, i took the dvd drive apart and put a clear cover on it so you can see the disc spinning in the tray. also a clear case so you can see the innards of the 360 (did this because i moved the system when i got it without knowing that it would scratch the disc while the system was on, and burnt the dvd laser. M$ was gonna charge me 150 to fix it (was getting to play this disc put it in an xbox 360 console white screen with 20 different languages because my laser eye was scratched) so i replaced my laser myself and fixed my problem)

but i have to keep my discs in the dvd tray because the magnet holding the disc is too strong now and if i eject the tray, take the disc out and close the tray without a disc, i have to manually opent the tray with a paperclip on the manual wheel because the magnet sticks and the tray gets stuck.

i travel with my system in my car (with a disc in it) at least once a week for online gaming at a friends house 10 miles away. been doing this for 6 months. i can understand if you keep your system in the trunk of your car for a long period of time not buckled down securly that the disc will scratch. but i have had 0 scratches other than the time i stated above.

I agree with prety much everybody here. I took my xbox 360 to a friends house during the summer and it was like 100 degrees outside (no, really it was that hot) which means my car was even hotter so I cranked up the A/C and the floor vents. I stuck the 360 on the floor where it wouldnt bounce around and when I got to my friends house, it was just fine. Also did that on the way home and no problems.

I used to bring my 360 over to friends' houses all the time for a year and a half to play cod2 and halo2. I never had a problem with it.

Does he live in a place with a high level of Elecrtomagnetic activity?

Does he live underwater?

Does he live in a Volcano?

Does he live somewhere not on the actual planet?

Does he live inside a Car Crusher?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions theres a high risk of damage...
