I played both and liked Crackdown more.  SR lost my interest after a while, but Crackdown has managed to keep me coming back.  The only major complaint that I ahve heard is that you can beat it fairly quickly.

They're surprisingly different titles, even though they fall in the same genre. SR was great and all, but Crackdown with it's superhuman powers and whatnot just make it a fresher experience. Seeing as you already have SR, I don't see any harm in getting Crackdown as well, since it is somewhat better in my opinion.

Only get Crackdown if you plan on playing co-op online. I say this because after beating the game's 21 bosses and races in under 8 hours, I found that there was nothing else to do (unless you want to fight gang members randomly by turning the option on or if you want to orb hunt).

It's a great rental though.

That depends on how you play it. It may take 8 hours to run through the bosses and do all the races but also take into account all the agility orbs and hidden ones, and getting up all your levels max and that is atleast another solid 5 hours of play if not more. And also there is exploring the cities and doing different things to your imagination that may side track you for awhile. This game can take a lot longer then people say but thats up to you. Not to mention all the downloadble content comming out. More cities, vechciles, and skins. It is worth the purchase in my opinion, and im very satisfied with mine.

Short game but worth it, especially if you want to play that halo3 beta.  Assuming you can still get crackdown copies with the beta invite...

C'mon, that is still understandable English. We can't expect everyone to write perfectly, especially since there are quite a few people whose native tongue isn't English.

You didn't beat the bosses and all the races in 8 hours! and if you did you played it on the lowest difficulty cause the two higher difficulties are entirely different animals especially pyschotic mode. Even if you did complete what you said in 8 hours there is NO WAY you collected all the orbs and achievements yet. I have had the game since day one and still need 2 green orbs and 45 blue orbs and 6 achievements I believe. I play it everyday probably 50 hours invested.

I was bored last night and since I finsihed Homecourt I went back to playing Crackdown.  2 hours had passed before I had even realized it.  After playing it last night I remembered how addtive the game is.  I think I spent half that time trying to collect orbs and agency supply points and think I only went after 1 gang member.  the game does have a high amount of value IMO because of the driving races and rooftop races.

I own both, and honestly, Crackdown has better gameplay, and overall is the better game.

Crackdown IS Short, HOWEVER it depends on how how you have the setting, and how good at it you are. But yes there is about 20 or so people you have to kill, you can kill whenever you want whoever you want.. thats basically it, but there are other things to the game. I personally am addicted to jumping roof top to roof top like Batman. I dont know this game is really short but still addicting... BESIDES IT GOT A 5/5 ON X PLAY.. I cant remember which one it was but they gave a GTA title a 4/5 then revised it to 5/5, either way X PLAY GAVE THIS GAME A 5/5!

I got bored with SR shortly after I started playing and I'm addicted to Crackdown. I've been playing it since the day after it came out. There are so many things to do and throw in the downloadable content it's just going to get better.

I like them both, but if I had to choose it would be Crackdown.
