I thought I did since I only got it at Xmas, but I heard that the Elites only have the Falcon Chip if it says 175W on the manufacturing sticker on the bottom on the box. But mine has 203W which doesn't have the Chip. Hope they're wrong, but is there any other way to tell?
Search on Google too because you can visually check as well thru the vent holes. Not the chip itself but some kind of cooling tube that would indicate it is a falcon chip unit.
The best way to see is if u got the falocn is by checking the power brick because if it says 175w on it then u hav got a falcon if it say u got 203 w then u wouldn't have a falcon and also check the lot number on the box because if it is over 735 then that helps to and last check your manufacture date on the xbox if its late last year u probably have a falocn.
There's no surefire way other than doing the flashlight check.
I picked up a backup 360 (Go Pro Package) and it had the 203w sticker on the box. I didn't really care but was pleasantly suprised to find that I had the 175w brick and looked inside (with flashlight) to find Falcon. Oh, and it was team CSON / Dec 2007 manufacture date!
I've had the Zephyr 360 with Ben-Q drive which is also pretty cool and quiet but I got rid of it. I've also heard people say that the Halo 3 units have the Falcon but unfortunately I just bought one with the old board. I may return it 'cause it is loud and hot!!!
It says on the powerbrick Output DC (asian writing) : 175W. Lot Number 0740. The MFR Date on the 360 has 2007 - 10 - 09 on it. Does any of this mean I have a Falcon Chip? Hope so.
