Does Oblivion Freeze While You Play?

While playing Oblivion, I remember that it froze a few times. I recently downloaded the Shivering Isles, and the screen froze on me last night. Is this common or a problem with my system?

it tends to lock up for a few seconds at times but its never permanetly frozen on me

i dont have the expansion pack but when it was loading once (cuz i fast traveled to another city) it did freeze on me. It took my like 5 minutes to realize it froze!

i've only had it really freeze up once, and it was in the middle of the heat of summer, so i think the heat was getting to it

For me it froze like 5 times already, mostly when loading....other than that it's fine.

It did for me, mostly because my 360 had a crappy heatsink, which I just sent to get fixed.

It occasionally freezes up on my, mainly when I talk to a count of a city.

I had the same problem. It's the Power brick overheating. Dangle it, put ice cubes on it (no joke, worked for me), and eventually send it to MS b/c it will fail. The NYKO intercooler solved the heat problem for me actually, but it messed up my psu connector.

The only time the game will stutter will be when your walking through the forest and all the trees and surroundings are generating and that only happens once every now and then.

Sometimes. I wouldn't be worried unless it freezes constantly, and I mean constantly.
