Just looking at a topic about XBL being down tomorrrow I notice how I'm not the only one who doesn't finish or even play that much of the single player games due to being tied up on the online play. I have not finished, GTA4, Unreal Tournament, and just recently finished COD4's single player after having it since launch. How many games do you have that you haven't completed because of playing it online all the time?

Sometimes. I still haven't played Halo 2 or 3 campaign. I usually try out multiplayer first and then try the singleplayer. Same with Chaos Theory and Pandora Tomorrow, I spent so much time on Xbox Live I didn't even finish the campaigns.

I try to finish the single player campaign before I dive into the multiplayer. For me, I simply want to become familiar with the game mechanics first. However, there are exceptions like GTA IV where to this day I have yet to complete the single player campaign and have wandered into multiplayer before completion. Perhaps, it simply depends on the game. Some games are so immersing that you finish the game without another thought towards multiplayer and others...not so much. :D

Definately.

I got CoD 4 the day it came out, and just beat the storyline today because LIVE was down.
Now I have to beat it on veteran :(

I'm 1/2 way through GTA4 and I put it down to play Bad COmpany which I got 3 levels completed in SP but spend about 2 hours playing on-line each day.. so yeah... multiplayer prevents me from getting SP acheviements..

I used to be all about the SP and to be fair, I do miss SP. I think i am just getting a really lazy gamer. These days I am just all about the MP. I think its one of the reasons the Wii is not getting used. Its not bad, I enjoy resident evil, zelda etc - but i'd rather be playing XBL

Nope ... I don't even hop online with a game until after I've played and finished the single player game.

In the main I like to complete the SP and then tackle the multiplayer - or even I might run them in tandem, finishing the single player when I can't get a decent game on MP.

I usually focus on the campaign first and foremost. On occasion I may try to tackle a few online achievements first, but I'm still focused mostly on the campaigns.

Good luck.
It's brutal. I got into about a third of Veteran, and couldn't progress any further.
You can't make any mistakes.

A lot of the levels before, I had to die A LOT of times to figure out a proper strategy.
You'll want to kill someone lol.

I've had the game beat, but had it saved on Vet.
Recently, I started up Hardened. I might as well finish that today.
**** Veteran lol.

I'd rather Single Player Campaigns. I'll try out online play, but most of the time it's short lived for me.

I get so tired of cheesey tactics, and people will find any loophole or advantage they can to win. Shooters consist mostly of people hiding in corners or sniping from ridicolous ranges.
