I had heard of the lag issues but only experienced them a couple of times, nothing major.
Had it on launch day and for a few weeks it was the best game I ever played. Soon though, every last person started playing as engineers and more or less took the fun out of it. I felt like the only person who wasn't one.
you should get Team Fortress 2 for the PCVic_Vega1994Yes, I know. But the thing is that I'm going to Finland to do my army duty for 6-12 months or so. During that time I wont have access to my gaming PC and probably not for live either. So thats why I'm interested to the offline part. EDIT: Spelling

Well if that's the case than The Orange Box will bring you lots of fun because of all the content you get for the price. 5 games in 1 is amazing.
A couple times a week, I'll play Team Fortress for four or five hours straight. I can't put a figure on how many times I have a connection problem, because it hardly ever happens.
To people saying that no one plays the game:
Your Team Fortress experience represents a statistical anomaly. I play at least every other day, and the longest I've ever had to wait for a lobby to fill up was about 10 minutes. That's a bit, but again I stress that is the longest I've ever had to wait. On a normal evening, it takes a couple minutes to fill up a game. Furthermore, I only play in ranked matches; there's always more activity in player matches.
