I think it has no effect on anyone's Xbox Live experience, as long as all the following are true: 1. You cannot be banned/suspended for low rep 2. Other players cannot see your rep 3. Everyone has 5 stars 4. Automated matchmaking which is commonplace in all games (older 360 games that were manual like the original Gears of War and Call of Duty 3 were rep-affected in that hosts with lower reps don't show up as apparent in search results). I would think that they could do this today in which when you go into matchmaking Xbox Live will have to make sure you aren't put in a match with anyone that avoided you, but then it would have to take extra time as well to find players that preferred you and avoid players YOU avoided, both of which are not of your fault. But maybe I'm wrong. Is there anything that rep actually does?
i have a friend with 4 stars, or 3.5 whatever and he has over 10,000 Gs so its not like the defult rep level when ya begin your tag.
He definately gets bad rep alot by running his mouth, and dares people to give him bad rep to answer this question, in his case it goes down but it takes way way way too much bad rep to do anything.
I wish it would go up and down, Espically for early DC on fighting/sports games, it would be tricky for COD as the whole room is charged a DC when the host mysteriously DC's
Rep is pretty supid though. I'm at 68% positive and I never cause problems or get into fights, unless they report me when I win, which is likely. My friend who does just as well as I do in most games and who is always getting into fights and swearing at peoplehas around 80% positive rep.
Who even avoids people based on rep? Not only have I never seen anyone with less than 3 stars (isn't that default? shouldn't you be able to go lower than avarage?) but I'd would never say to myself, "Gee that young man has a 2 star rating. Thatmeanseither we willnot getting along or he will try to taint my experience on Xbox Live; I'd better avoid him ..."
rep is useless. microsoft doesn't do anything about it. the ban system is also flawed. if a person gets enough bad rep to get suspend microsoft will do nothing about it. u don't have to do anything and will get suspended. the rep system does nothing also.

Yah same here. I'm not a loud mouthed person or anything, but can remember i beat this guy at PES6 4 times i a row, and everytime submitted bad rep. I think its a pointless system, so either MS should use it more (god knows how though) or should just can it and include something more worth while.
You start on 3 stars, so there are people on less than 5, but it takes next to no time for it to reach 5 stars if you play online for any length of time, and it never seems to go down. Rep is pretty meaningless as it doesn't do anything, and the "avoid player" function doesn't seem to do anything either
The percentage definately doesnt. Back in december got a bad review. Saw the percentage change to 94 percentage like or didnt review. Have played online since and the percentage is still the same.

Guy who gave me bad review - playing SD vs Raw in handicap no disqualification match. Friend and me were nubs, we did some doubleteaming couple times as thats part of the rules. Other guy still won and he sent me some hateful messages and bad review. Some rude and dumb people.
Yeah what's even more broken is that it shows your xx% of players preferred you and the % of those who avoided you or did not submit a review about you. Thing is though, the percentages are just out of the total number of players who submitted a review about you, not including those that did not submit a review. Why does it say it like that?
Nope i'm living proof that you can't get in trouble i'm around 74% avoided because some kids just can't take getting beat. I trash talk without a microphone on(Barely use it),aggressive yeah lets NOT attack the enemies..,and unsporting because i can beat them and they'll leave yet if i die i stay. Most unsporting thing i've ever heard of.
The worst I've seen was a player with 2 stars who team killed everyone in COD3. Was he kicked off Live? No. You are set to act like a jack ass with no repercussions.
