I sent my360 in to Microsoft around 7 weeks ago, do you know why it's taking so long?

Well it should be coming to you pretty quick. When I sent mine in i got it back at the end of the 7th week. Also it figures 2 weeks just for shipping depending on what day you sent it, and what day they sent it, and they figure about a month to fix the machine.

Because it is Microsoft. Seriously though, you should call them and ask for the status of your replacement. Sometimes keeping tabs on your system is the only way to get it through the door faster. I believe the cause of the delay is that they have to specificallyidentify the problem before fixing it (stating the obvious, I know)so that the problem doesn't occur again with the replacement (since they would usually send a refurbished system rather than a brand new one, saving them money in the process). This would probably take more time than they would like to admit.

I had mine (well, a different refurb) back literally 10 days after shipping it. This was last month. Call them if its taking more than 3 weeks.
