Does the 360 operate worse when lots of memory is taken up on the hd?

I was wondering if the 360 operates at a lesser capacity when the hard drive has memory loaded into it. I was playing Oblivion two nights ago, then I loaded about 4 gigs of music onto my hd, I loaded up oblivion again, and the graphics looked a little less sharp, could this be because of all the music loaded onto the hd?

I don't think that it could cause inferior graphics, but I have noticed more slowdown, longer loading times and more freezing issues when my HDD is packed.
