Like is there a large difference on how quicker you will die if you do or do not have armor?

I haven't experienced something as radical as what the poster above me said but it does help out when you're impatient like me... I can take quite a few shots with full body armor but i do move noticably slower than other people

Yes it makes a BIG difference. However, that being said, some people do not like the mobility trade-off from the weight of the armor. This can be particularly noticeable when you try to quickly look around a corner and can't do it as quickly because you're wearing armor.

By the way, never wear more than 6 points worth of armor protection. It just slows you down more and offers no more protection than higher amounts. Wear 0 , 4, or 7 points of armor. Anything in between makes no difference (it is counted as light, medium, and heavy) and only slows you down.

wearing armor does make a big difference. even with the mobility trade-off, if you're in the right level you can sit in a corner with 9 points of armor on and cap people who walk in.

Yes it does.  I use medium armor now just to get around faster, but when I used to use heavy armor all the time... people often called me a tank because they couldn't take me down.  I tested it, and the difference between no armor and full armor with the MTAR was 5 bullets.  That's good.  I wanted to be able to get to certain places faster, rush a little more you know... but when I had full armor it was great because if they hit me and then missed or something I would just regenerate and be ready all over again.  When I see someone with no armor, a 3 shot burst to the torso kills them.  I don't usually bother with head shots when it comes to that.
