Hi I'm looking to get a 360 and I'm not that interested in downloadable content so I don't really need a hard drive, so I'd much prefer to get a core 360 with a new release game then a 360 with a hard drive and bugger all else, however I'm not sure if i'll be able to swave my games without one. Does the 360 need a memory card to save games? And if so how does the price of a 360 an a memory card compare with the price of a 360 with hard drive, cuz if there isn't much difference I may as well go with the hard drive. Thanks.

you really might as well get the premium, you may not be interested in downloadable content right now, but trust me there will be things you want to download.

Yes it does need a memory card. Just get a premium, trust us. I hate wasting money (I never buy new games, always used) but you will not regret getting the premium over the core.

I don't play online and don't plan to connect (use uni comps to go online) so downloads should never really become an issue in the future. but will it cost me a similar proice for a core console and a memory card?

You could get a Memory Card but like most people said you should really get the Harddrive.

You can use memory card but if you buy premium you will have 20GB of space where memory card in just 64MB.

You can use that space to download the demos, new contents of game, arcade games, themes, movies, musics, etc.

Before I connect to the xbox live, I used to think I don't care about downloading extra contents and demos. But after I connect to the xbox live and downloaded few thing on the marketplace, it is giving me much more fun than before.

So trust me, get a premium version. And you will get remote control and wireless controller and component cable as well.
