Does the Falcon Chip really help with RROD?

Im about to get a Falcon Chip Elite tomorrow and was wondering if the new chip really works. Does it really help RROD? I noticed that with the new chips, you go from 203 watts to 175 watts, which is a decrease of almost 30 watts which means it should run cooler. I have no idea when the new GPU chips or coming, so I wanted to get this. Does it really help? (note: I keep my consoles in a very open area, on top of a desk.)

I have a launch day 360 and I have never had RROD.

My buddy got a falcon chip Arcade and it RROD'd the 3rd day.

Returned it for an Elite and the same thing.

I still think it's just luck of the draw but the warranty helps and buy it at a Best Buy with the replacment plan.

actually it just breaks anyway. you cannot judge.

my 360 had the best air flow, was handled carefully, but still got rrod. actually 2 of my 'pros' did.

now i have an arcade, only for the exclusives. i trust my ps3 more. no problems with that.

if anyone says im a ps3 fanboy- get off your high horse cos if you havent noticed i still have a 360 after 2 breaking, showing my loyalty i maybe shouldnt have for it.
