Why would a company be allowed to make a prouduct that is supposed to help it when all it does is destroy. Its time for a class-action lawsuit on Nyko.

Um, it's a fact that using the Nyko intercooler VOIDS you 360 warranty.  If you don't believe it, then call MS at 1-800-4MYXBOX & they'll tell you the same.  And yes, the Intercooler has killed a lot of 360's.

The intercooler is completely pointless. If your 360 overheats without it, you need to call MS because there is something wrong with your 360. Buying an intercooler is not a good idea.

Guess I should take my intercooler off. Plus it only voids it . . .. . . if you let them know about it.

Intercoolers are not a good idea unless they are powered from another source. Think about it...it's drawing way more power from the source that supplies your Xbox 360. It can't be good to have dropping voltages and current while your 360 is running.

Not a good idea.

Just as this guy has stated, the intercooler powers up before your console does therefore removing some power from the console. Other products like the fan stand feed off the consoles power instead of taking from it.

Negative. The intercooler will leave little markings where it connects on the console and Microsoft will see these markings if sent in for warranty repair and will not fix your console and void the rest of your warranty.

It can create electrical arcs between the 360 and intercooler. Not good.

I've never had a problem with mine, and I've yet to see any proof that it voids your warranty. That's like saying a 3rd party controller will void your warranty cuz it takes power from the system =-o

No, the Intercooler has nothing to do with the internal operations of the 360, other than robbing it of small amounts power. A disc read error is hardware releated, possibly the DVD-ROM or laser or even the disc itself. The Intercooler is junk and a waste of money.

In Nyko's defense, they said they would pay for any 360 that went haywire from an Intercooler.  But I've agreed with everyone else.  Why bother, if you must have a fan unit, there are several available that draw power from the outlet, not the 360.  And if your 360's overheating on its own, it's either in the wrong spot or it should be sent back to MS.

Rubbish, 1101010000001010101010101010 nyko has third party rights to create equipment for the 360. Just like the generic controllers from Logitech. and you should call the person back at microsoft and ask to speak to the manager, because they are talking rubbish. plus how can something you attach EXTERNALLY void your warranty? there is no proof you ever used it. . .think before you try load bad news onto people trying to get help... yawn. . . Fitzman 31, try the games in your console without the intercooler connected, might be the cooler is stealing too much power. good luck.

Call MS and say " hey does the Nyko Intercooler void the warranty?" They will say yes... Because it does. Owned.

my intercooler worked fine for over a year...last week i noticed my system overheating and it was because two of the three fans were not working anymore....i simply went and bought a new one and its working great now....these intercoolers are just not durable...doesnt mean that they dont satisfy your 360...just check it occassionally to make sure all fans are functioning properly....if not, just replace it....it works fine....

How does it void your warranty? hows microsoft ever gonna know if you used it or not. I just recently took mine off after getting the red lights 4 times with it on. The 360 runs so much quieter and smoother and so far no rings!

People are saying since it uses the power from the xbox360,it burns them up,so i modded the nyko fan an use an external power supply, its simple ,just need a few minor tools, soldering gun, hobby tool set or wire cutters, and a power supply which you can get them from any hobby store or walmarts cheap,i like to keep things cold especially my 360 so i figured it would be worth it.and now the fan noise i was getting with my 360 is gone. Also. nice and cool with no burning house down worries.

You can get a new one now that sits on the side of the console, just use that, theres nothing to burn there. Is also grabs its power from the wall.
