So my 360 has broken for the 3rd time now and I'm tired of having to get it repaired. Instead i'm thinking of getting a 360 slim. My question is does the xbox slim play original xbox games because I still wanna play games like Halo 1 and Doom 3 without having to buy an original xbox.

I'm sure it does as the 360 plays original Xbox games through software emulation iirc.

Yes, but only with a certain set of games just like all previous Xbox 360's. Here's the list of compatible games.

The 250GB Slims do for sure. I'm not sure about the 4GB ones since I think you need a hard drive to play Xbox games.

Yes, good point. You do need an HDD to play them. So, you'll have to go with the 250GB version or the upcoming R2D2 version.

Yeah, the Slim will play most, if not all, original XBox games.

Definitely pick up the slim. What's not to like about it? It's smaller, aesthetically pleasing, quieter, built in wi-fi, no rrod & it still plays the same xbox games that the older xbox 360s would play.
