every version of the 360 has the rings of death, if it wasn't bad that it happened so frequently with the first 2 SKU's, but then even when they "revamped" the 360 and launched the elite it still had the problem, my friend bought one, it worked fairly well for about a month, then one day it just happened, maybe the universe is trying to tell us something ^_^americahellyeah
I'm praying that when the 65nm chip gets into the Elites this October it will fix the problem. But like I have said it may help then again it may not. And if it doesn't we are all going to be shipping consoles throughout the holiday season. None of you can say what I am stating is baloney. Because you have to admit that what I'm saying makes sense.
If Microsoft were to publicly announce that the chip would fix it all and gurantee it would be problem free. Then that would be a different story. But see they are not doing that because other problems could arise. This machine is a catastrophe the only good Microsoft product was the original Xbox. None of us had any problems because it was made perfectly and we had fun playing. Now we're all taking trips to the local UPS.
My first one got the redlights. I got a new one and it is a lot cooler. They are putting in the new heatsinks in them. Hopefully this heatsink works and fixes the problem, but personally I would buy one when the 65 nanometer chip comes out. jay_k3
But once again the 65nm chip is not guranteeing that all 360 problems will be fixed. Even when they place the chip praying and crossing your fingers is gonna be a must.
