I am trying to understand here. You made up a profile to play games on and another profile to play online with? I only have one profile and its the same one I play online with(a gamertag). And yes it shows your gamerscore to evryone on xbox live.
You know how when you turn on your 360, and make a profile for playing games and get your gamerscore? When you make an Xbox Live account, do you need to use your profile for the Live account? Or do they have nothing to do with each other?

Yes, that is how it usually works unless the profile name that you picked is taken already. In that case I would change my profile name to match my gamertag.
