i think 4 will be a remake of 2, since its on earth and it would allow them to create the vision they were originally gunning for. Just like they said in doom 3.
the start of doom 3 was amazing and the end of it was amazing, the middle just seemed soooo long and draggged out, with the good suprise here and there.
I hope they make this just one big horror filled, guts and gore fiesta of a rollercoaster ride!
It'd be cool if they included all the other doom games 1,2 and Final Doom as a bonus with online play, seeing we most likely won't see this game for the next 4-5 years and I'm sure by then well be putting it on a new console...speaking of should be hearing about the future of xbox in 2010 hopefully... I'm sure 2k9 will be the last run for the system

I did not like it either because you are too restricted , hall way shooter .A bigger enviroment would be a LOT better game.
Doom 3 tried to be atmospheric and scary, fighting in a big open field lacks both of those qualities. Doom isn't Halo, its not supposed to be a fast paced traditional FPS. Doom 3 seemed like it was a survival horror game stuck in a FPS perspective.

that would be interesting. honestly i could never play through doom 3. i have really bad reactions-- i jump at almost anything which is really annoying. the games looks really cool though.
