In my opinion was one of the greatest entries in the series ever. My question is,...... Where is it? The cart itself is pretty rare, and its even rarer (tho i have one) to find a working N64 these days.

I'm hoping, beyond hope that we can generate enough steam here on gamespot to make ID/Bethesda (who has now merged i believe with ID, but please correct me if I'm wrong) possibly consider porting it to xbox live arcade for us to download.

Its a little crazy they still want 800 points just for DOOM 2, but id be willing to pay 1600 for DOOM 64.

Anyone else out there love these game's as much as I do?

Personally I'm considering two excellent tattoo's from the original DOOM to put upon myself very soon. I've been playing this series since it first came out and I was but a child, it hasn't lost ANY of its fun and luster in my eyes.

Doom 64 was one of the best things to happen to the N64, shame most of the other N64 games were just children's platformers. As for re-selling it, Doom 64 wasn't really remembered as much as Doom 1 & 2. There's not much of a fanbase for Doom 64. Shame, because it was one of the few N64 games that wasn't bad Super Mario 64 rip-offs with "cute" talking animals.

I do agree that I had fun with Doom 64, but it really seemed to veer from the original story line quite a bit.

However, finding a working N64 is actually pretty easy. It has a reputation of being a very, very durable console. I have two!

Pretty sure they'd port PC Final Doom before considering Doom 64.

I still have a cart of Doom 64 somewhere actually.

Though if you want a pretty good way to play it check this out

Seeing i don't own an N64 anymore it's what i used to play it nowaday.

Come on guys, its a Nintendo game. WHEN has a nintendo game been ported to any other console? oh never. maybe AFTER nintendo goes under (maybe someday?) they will sell games as classics for other consoles (like how Sega does now). but Doom64 is a nintendo64 exclusive, and it will stay in Nintendo's hands until they stop making consoles. The End.

If they added Doom64 and Final Doom to the Doom BFG edition then it would be worth the $40 their asking for it.

Heh, indeed we can. From the looks of it at least some of us are. I'm surprised to see even this many responses to the post though. Glad to know there are others out there who enjoyed it as much as I did.

I Agree that there are still plenty of working N64's out there but honestly, I have a 360, an NES, an SNES, and a Gamecube all hooked up to my TV right now, and to put the N64 back up there just for Doom64 is a bit,.... well redundantI suppose, I'm running out of room! heh

So that's why I would like to see it released in a way it is easier for more folks to play. There are a lot of people I'm sure who never even had the chance to check this one out because it was, as another poster mentioned around $80 when it came out. I never even owned it but I did rent it all the time. As a kid there's no way I could afford that price for one kart. Then it seemed to go into hiding and anyone who did have one still wanted too much for it.

Again I'm sure it could be found for cheaper nowadays, but honestly I would like to start taking system out of my setup instead of adding another one for a single game, besides as almasdeathchild mentioned it would be AWESOME redone in HD so that is preferable if I were going to shell out any cash for it nowadays.

Anywho, glad/happy to find some other fans out there!

Keep Rockin!

I'd like this! It's just a shame that I never had the opportunity to play it back in the day. Why? because it was a N64 exclusive :(. Actually, I still have Final Doom to get. At least I think it's Final Doom... but the one on the PS1. There are so many it gets confusing :P. But actually, I only completed DOOM I and II in the last few years but I did grow up with them :). Great games! Going to get DOOM 3 BFG Edition as well. I got close to the end of Doom 3, but never completed it so this time I will. Glad it has the expansion pack with it as well! I always wanted to get that and it's not backwards compatible with the 360. Do you know what would be great? some sort of level editor that could come with the original DOOM's in the BFG Edition. That would be great! That's my only problem with this Edition. I already own Doom I and II on XBLA, so I hope it won't be like owning the EXACT same game twice on the SAME system!
