DOOM on XBL

Doom is one of my all time favorite games. I play it on PC thoughfs_metal

I started out playing DOOM and the SNES, but I credit it with being the reason I kick so much ass at FPS's, it just saddens me to see DOOM accualy get a decent shot at a multi player and it just get pissed all over.

Same here. Also same with SFII on XBL. What a waste, it couldve been so much more awesome.

because the online is crap. DOOM was only meant for the single player, and that was average at best.mohfrontline

You must be joking, right? When Doom first came out it was all about the LAN multiplayer. Sure it seems rough now, but back then it was the best of the best.

what is this 1994? why are you playing it...i downloaded the demo and realized it was 2008 when i started playing

it is a classic game and revolutionary, i loved it back then, but the reason people dont play online is cause it sucks! they are playing gears, cod4, tf2 or maybe even a leaked version of gta 4 if they are lucky

This is why developers need to stop linking achievements to online play. After so long it is impossible to get them.

Plus it brings the boosters out to ruin the fun for every one else.

Agreed. Thats why i LOVED CoD 4's achievements, all single player with a good mix of easy but fun/random, and challenging to rediculously hard.

It saddens me to know that through no fault of my own i can never 1k Prey or Splinter Cell: DA without boosting.

Idon'tcare if some one is going to boost. I had to onshadowrunto get the godlikeachievement. What bothers me is that people will come into a match and ask you to boost with them, then when you say know they bad rep you for no reason or just complain about it for the whole match.

Yeah that does really annoy me.

I remember what made me stop playing Gears of War, I entered a random ranked match only to be greeted by 3 mexicans shouting at me over and over to get out of the room because they were only here to boost achievements and didnt want me "spoiling it" for them.

It was a random match and i had every right to be there, so i stayed until they all left just to spite them (i was reading a book at the time whilst waiting for matches) only to find they had all bad repped me, and filed complaints against me for cheating.

I also received my %75 avoided reputation for "unsporting conduct" or etc for things like grenade tagging, or simply winning. People dont like it when anyone else gets a point. I can understand why certain people dont like certain things, like grenade tagging etc, randomly lucky headshots and things. But seriously, you died... deal with it... Dont give me bad rep because you couldnt avoid my attack.
