ok well I have been thinking all week, and I have narrowed a list of 5 down to these 3. I like Oblivion, I never played Splinter Cell before but am interested in D.A., and I wanna try Fable because Fable 2 is coming out soon.
If you havn't played splinter cell before then don't start with DA. It's way different then what Splinter Cell is best known for which is stealth action in the dark. I'd try a previous Splinter Cell and you should be able to get a copy for cheap (or download a demo). Since you're a fan of Oblivion, SI sounds like you're best bet but only if you really like Oblivion and have gotten far in it. I can't say much about Fable as I havn't played it before. Might want to rent Fable and get SI or something.

Agreed, DA is an excellent game imo, but dont let it be your first splinter cell.

Fable2 won't be out until 2008, you've got all the time in the world to play the first one.
oh and im only lvl 5 on oblivion but am finally getting started with everything. i finally got a house, i am grand champion in the arena, im in every guild except the mages guild, i have plenty of shooters i have graw 1, rb6v, geow, cod2 and 3, and i am getting graw 2 for my birthday. ugh i dunno what to get.

You still have a long way to go in Oblivion. Wait until you have beaten everything, do almost every side quests and once the game starts to get boring then download SI.

SCDA i just started playing it again today, the online is amazing. It makes such a refreshing change from the usualy shooter, i can see myself playing it much more than i have oblivion.

Amazing game imo, and I was never a big SC fan. Plus its only $20 new, you can find it dirt cheap used.
So hard to pick. SI is an amazing expansion pack, but I think you should enjoy the first Fable before you forget about it.limpbizkit818
QFT... this game doesn't get enough love... and it'll get you all stoked for Fable 2. Definitely an underrated Xbox game IMO. But yeah, SI is really good too. I didn't care for the demo of SCDA but I didn't understand how to play and was too lazy to figure it out.
I'd recommend Splinter Cell: Da, Its a wonderful game, Although so Is Fable, But if you've played and completed the normal Fable then theres no real point, splinter cell: Da has an awesome multiplayer, and the story rocks, I wouldnt pick shivering isles, its still the same old oblivion, with some extra stuff, a bit repetetive
LISTEN TO ME, MORE THAN EVERYONE, CUZ I MAKE A LOGICAL STATEMENT:
Fable and Shivering Isles is SINGLE PLAYER ONLY
Double Agent is single and multi, and the less people will play if u buy it much later, imo, buy this game and then play the hell out of single and multiplayer and then get Shivering Isles some other time. Fable can wait, it sucks in comparison.
but now im thinking about getting shivering isles and its in the lead with fable close behind... im thikning, my bday is coming up my brother is getting me GRAW 2, im buying Shviering Isles, my sister can buy m e fable and my parents can get me D.A.... yea thats it! problem solved.
Get Fable. SI is Oblivion so it will be along the same lines of gameplay. Fable is a completely new game instead of an expansion pack. Plus you'll have some money left over to save up for SI if you want. But in the end it is your decision.
I'd have to say splinter cell: Double Agent. Its has a pretty good (but a bit difficult) storyline and the multiplayer is awesome. The only thing that ruins the mp is the pulse and if you play it a lot as a spy you will find ways around the pulse. And Fable is my favorite Xbox game and it was way underrated. If your really a fan of oblivion then get SI but if your just starting to play it I don't suggest you get it right now.
