so i downloaded Bioshock to my dashboard, so what exactly does that do, if the disk is still needed? faster loading or something?

Yes the disc is still needed. you may notice slight improvements in loading times and texture pop-in, but the main benefit is the reduced noise from the console as the disc isn't spinning fast.

yea your still need the disk but it should not be lagging and will load faster and all that good stuff
