So on friday afternoon i downloaded fable from live and i keep getting an error message when the game is loading that the disc is dirty or damaged and then it freezes my system. i spent 2 days on the phone with live support and i now have to wait 5-10 days for there special department to get back to me. is anyone else having this problem or anything like it?
really... i downloaded it too and it was fine. other than i found out my controller was beginning to break. Everything was good. definitly try deleting it the redownloading the game.
yea they had me delete it and redownload it twice they also had me try it connected to live and not connected and they made me clear my cache memory and disconnect my hard drive and still the same thing happens
it better not be the RROD because i have bought 3 damn systems from them and everything else works fine i just bought this damn system 2 months ago because i wanted an elite with the new chips so this better not be the RROD coming
Makes me glad that I still own all the original discs for these games. :) I've got close to 100 XBOX games that I've been collecting for that last 3.5 years.
either the download is corrupt ot there is corrupted sectors on the hd. i personally think there is something wrong with your hd. if there is alot of bad sectors anything you try to save to it will be fubar. i would keep an eye on it for inability to save games. or try downloading demos and see if they are corrupt also. it may takea few trys the disc doesnt always write to the same place.
in windows, there is a way to do a scan and basically tell windows dont use these sectors they are bad. if your hard drive has alot of bad sectors on it they might be able to take you through some xbox utility that does the same thing. so you dont have to send it in or replace it. you will lose all saved games and data though
this happend to me too, like 5 mins ago.. It said it was downloaded to 99% then all of a sudden it said.. *cant download Fable Full game* so i'm trying to re download it right now
i am sorry to say this. U should of bought the game in the store. i just bought Fable:Lost Chapters for ten dollars. I tink 15 is a little steep for gthat.
