Downloading games with no hard drive

I want geometry wars 2 tonight but the hard drive I bought online wont be here for a couple days. I have 66mb of internal memory left on my 360, can I download geometry wars on that or does it have to be on a memory card or hard drive?

On the live marketplace it says its only 40mb. Are there a lot of updates for it or something?

You should be able to download Geometry Wars with 66MB free. Just don't expect much else. Updates are already taking space on the flash, so no need toworry about that. I do really recommend you get a hard drive. If you don't download much, a 20GB will suit you perfectly and are really cheap now.

I recommend you buy Geometry Wars 2. It's 100 times better than the first game.

am I the only one that loved geometry wars on teh ds but can't stand playing it on 360. Maybe I'm just not good at it, but I also don't really like how you don't really progress at all, you just start back at the beginning and go til you die.

I got the one for the DS and hated it! I liked the idea of actually gaining something but I thought the controls were terrible and I really missed the better graphics from the 360.

i used the buttons, I couldnt' stand using the touch screen with it. But yeh I mainly just liked the levels and gaining stuff. I can't stand how the 1st geometry wars for 360 was set up and I get the impression the 2nd one on 360 is the same way, no level progression or gaining stuff, just different modes so I never bought it.

yeah, you can make it so the x,y,a,b buttons shoot instead of the touch screen. I never could stand using the touch screen myself really (probably why I sold my DS) but I did love that game, after I swtiched the controls. Definitely give it another try.

Just tried it again, much better but I still rather have the analog sticks. Thanks for letting me know about the controls though, I might try it some more tomorrow.
