If you would have asked me this question 2-3 days ago I would have agreed with you, but after playing it for awile and getting used to it I can say that I am quickly falling in love with this game. I recently bought borderlands, and dragon age, and I liked borderlands but after playing dragon age I havent played borderlands once lol. At first the combat and inventory systems kinda threw me off, I didnt like how it wouldnt tell u how much things were worth to sell unless u were at a store, so I didnt know what weapons to keep or throw away, and the combat was new to me because I am used to playing rpg action hybrids like fable 2, fallout3,oblivion, mass effect etc. But now I am startign to get the hang of it, but by no way have I mastered it lol. I am totally not used to real rpg's. But I do like it, and maybe after awile u will too, u just gotta give it a little bit of time, and get used to it. I think alot of people will be disappointed though because tehy like myself will think its going to be mass effect with swords and it isnt. Hope you enjoy it bro.
im loving this game. mind you im not very far into the game, but of what i've played im really enjoying. Im currently playing as an elf mage and the combat works very well. Maybe the melee combat isn't as tactical as using magic? The spell system works flawless, its easy to make combinations of mass destruction. So, from this point i cant agreed.
Ya he is right, In my previous post I was going to tell u this but i forgot, but when I first started the game (the time I didnt like it) I was a dwarve warrior, and then about 7 hrs in I decided to try it as an elf mage, and boy did that make all the diff in the world. The combat in my opinion is sooo much better, and more tactical when using a mage so I totally agree with the above post. If you are not a mage maybe u should try that out n see if u like it.

ya...but if mages are the only "fun" class to use, thats not a good representation imo. Im sure the warriro and rouges are also enjoyable, just require a more pause/tactic style rather than realtime? The game even states when chosing difficulty your style of play and which you should choose to try out.

The rogue class requires a great deal of strategy, depending on difficulty and style you follow regarding the class--ranged, assassin, etc. Lots of sneaking, careful planning and strategy regarding your other characters skill usage and style in battle, etc., all so your rogue can do some wicked back attacks, etc.
I finished my first playthrough and it was fantastic until one part that made me want to stop playing. I am currently playing it again as a Dwarf and after that an Elf.
I've finished the game once already on a human noble rogue and I loved it. I'm playing through again on a dwarf noble warrior and I still love it. I tried out the mage, but I don't like it as much as i do warrior.
Is it just me, or does it look liek a single player MMO? With the whole tank, DPS, heals thing and the combat also seems pretty repetitive and boring like MMos.
Well I played it for around fifty-hours and I'm not bored. By the way to me RPGs are about the stories and characters which is what this game has. I'm still having fun killing enemies and doing sidequests that I have already completed. Is it just me, or does it look liek a single player MMO?
