Which Bioware game are you most interested in, most likely going to buy, or will be the more successful/better game from the upcoming duo that the great Bioware is releasing this year?

For me, I loved Mass Effect, but I think that the Dragon Age game may end up being my pick. I read the DA book and have to say that I am completely intrigued with how the game may end up. I guess personally I feel that Characters and Plot make up the overall story, where Mass Effect's plot was amazing but the Characters never really hit it off for me..A few were neat but after reading that book, I feel the characters in Dragon Age will be very interesting.

What do you think?

I am way more interested in Mass Effect 2 so I can continue the story... but I am still going to buy Dragon Age... Bioware are pretty amazing with RPGs, so I expect good things from Dragon Age... Plus it can tide me over while I wait for ME2, since ME2 comes out early next year and Dragon Age is out in October of this year I believe...

Oopsies, my bad, I guess I should've checked dates. For some reason I though ME2 was coming out November or something..I dunno where I got that from, sorry!

But yeah definitely Dragon Age will hold me over, probably for a good while seeing as how there might be good reasons to replay a few times, and the game itself is "reportedly" 80-100 hours in length..

I was interested in DA a bit, but the more I learn about it the less interested in it I am. It seems like an 'Oblivion' with more 'M' content. Just to compare it to Oblivion is huge and means it will probably be great, but my interest continues to ween regardless. As for ME2, my excitement just keeps getting higher. I'm really interested to see how the storyline continues, how much carries over and how much it can change and vary depending on my first ME saves. I also hope they keep it 'clean' in the sense it isn't like playing a 'f-bomb' ladden action flick.

You should pick up the Mass Effect: Ascension book... I hear that the main antagonist of that book will play a key part in ME2...

Already read it. I liked the first book, the second was ok, but I don't remember many details, so I might have to reread it in anticipation for the secong game.

Both look like AMAZING games, but Mass Effect has me more pumped. Plus I've been playing Oblivion so I'm ready to go back to the Sci-Fi setting.

Mass Effect 2....but it worries me that BioWare is working on two RPG's for consoles at once.

I guess I am more interested in DA:O for the story more so anything else. The gameplay in ME2 will no doubtably trump Dragon Age IMO because I am more of a fan of real time, actiony gameplay. But for some reason, even though just about every RPG does this, I love the setting. I just love playing games where I can just shove a sword in someone's face, and from the looks of the Mature-ness (not really a word, but it will be in this context :P) I will be able to do just that unlike games like Oblivion where it looked more like Rockem Sockem Robots with Swords and Magic.

Not only those, but also SW:TOR for PC... It's an MMO which means it is much much larger than either of these games...

Yup. Bioware is working on three games at once and that's worrisome to me. They never worked on more than two at once in the past.

I'm not worried. Bioware has built their reputation with sweat and tears.

Nothing in their history gives me cause for concern, their just that awesome.

I absolutely agree with your statement Paynee. As for the question, it's a no brainer. I'm getting both! lol KOTOR, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect are some of the best games I've ever played in my life.

Mass Effect 2. Along with oblivion, mass effect is my fav current gen rpg. The combat system in dragon age scares me away.Nice concept n all, great violence but the combat just looks strange. ill have to give it some time and see the final product then i can make a decision but right now the only rpg that could make me say no to mass effect2 would be a new Elder Scrolls.

Elder Scrolls is something I can never pass up either. Morrowind is still the best damn RPG I've ever played. Obivion was good, but it just didn't compare to the scale of Morrowind.

yeah, nowhere close to Morrowind. And even without mods i still play it on my xbox more then i play oblivion. They made oblivion too easy as well, i love the game but still...theres something missing in there that they need to fix in the next game. I would love a current gen Morrowind!

Mass Effect 2. I don't know much about Dragon Age, but it should be good, consideing its BioWare. Also, add a poll, and add The Old Republic (BioWare certainly have their hands full)

I think I am definitely going to end up with both though, I just kind of wanted to see the general consensus on how people view the two big console games coming out of the greatness that is Bioware.

I would say Mass Effect 2, although I might check out Dragon Age Origins later. The heavy metal trailers of Dragon Age Origins didn't really impress me and I'm waiting the reviews before I consider it a purchase. Mass Effect 2 is a must buy for me though.

I think Dragon Age will be the better game because the original Mass Effect had one of the best stories I've seen in a game but it was just to short and the sidequests were crap, while Dragon Age looks to be very long and will have some cool looking gameplay.

Mass Effect is, and always will be better than Dragon Age. Dragon Age's main failing is in the fact that it takes no time to establish mood, and just thrusts you into the main game after a kickass tutorial level, which is a lot better than the rest of the affair.

I played both to these games, but I say Dragon Age is better on the PC.
