Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Widescreen Question

Is there a way to turn off the widescreen. The letterboxes feel very large and I cannot seem to get used to it (I've been playing for hours and it's still annoying me). I'd much rather play in fullscreen, so I was wondering if there is a fix.

I don't think so... I believe I heard they used the letterboxes so they didn't have to run the game at full 720p. I mean, even at the cropped/lowered res, the game has bogged down to about 10fps for me... I'm afraid there's nothing you can do about it.
