i beg to wonder how much money they have put into the game. surely theys no way it can make a profit . 12 years late, imagine employing all the developers that long with no end result. they restarted the game that many times because they took that long.
and really duke aint that much of a character to carry a game. old skool pc crew all know him and duke nukem 3d was great. i even liked the old EGA (pre VGA & SVGA days eek) platform games by appogee of duke nukem
but surely its not that big a deal on the consoles to sell out , i doubt it will ever be released,
forever obviosuily must be a hint how long its going to take to make.
Twelve years ago this game promised new gameplay unlike anything we'd seen. Now, all those gameplay elements have been used over an over again. Duke was fun because it had attitude and was one of the first games to offer 2-1/2D graphics (we could look up and down for the first time).
In order for this to succeed today it's going to need more than just good graphics and attitude. They need to up the ante on the story and the gameplay will need to be on par with the likes of Half-life 2 and Gears of war just for this game to sell a respectable number of units.
I think they should have just bagged it years ago but I'll give them credit for not giving up.
thats funny... haha...
But seriously, the original 2D Duke Nukem games were sweet, you've got to respect that. And i don't think they'd make a trailer if they were NEVER going to make the game... that just doesnt make sense to me. Personally I can't wait for it, but thats just b/c im a fan of Duke
What the hell the voice didn't even sound like Duke Nukem. I really want this game to be good but...I bet it's going to suck.Sykoh
Yeah that voice sounded lame nothing like the original.
