EA is crap at picking cover athletes

i heard that Vy was their cover guy because other players turn it down. i believe that was the reason.

what about it.... Boise State University is one of the up and coming football teams in the NCAA. they havent lost a game in like 3 seasons for crying out loud, and probably had the MOST amazing bowl game of last season.....

first vince young makes the cover of madden 08 over both L.T and Brady and now eric staal is on the cover of NHL 08 instead of sidney crosby, why do they always choose these random guys 2 grace the cover instead of there obvious choicesROFLcopter_69

i have no problem with VY being on cover. hes a well known athlete that won a college championship and won rookie of the year. he brings excitement an a little edginess. not sure why everyone hates on him being on cover. tom brady is boring. yes he has rings but hes a bore.

Well LT told them he didn't want to be on the cover and Vince Young did a very solid job last year and is the type of QB that a lot of people like (very mobile with a good arm). Plus, Gilbert Arenas is on the cover of NBA Live and I think that was a great choice. I couldn't care less who is on the cover of the hockey one because the game will rock either way. Personally though, I think the football choice was very smart.nickdastick

If LeBron was on a cover of say, NBA 09, you know how much that game would sell just cause he's on the cover? Too bad he'll most likely never be on a cover because he wants a multi-million dollar deal for atleast 4 years. (It was in some article about him being a possible prospect for 2k8, but since they have Jeter signed basically for life, it would be risky to dish out another big contract.

I don't really mind who is on the cover. I'm not that kind of person that gets swayed just because a person I like is on the cover. "NBA Live 11 is garbage I heard, I'm not gonna get it" "It has Lebron on the cover" "Are you kidding?!?! I am so gonna get that"
