i bought a 20" slvania tv and an xbox 360 with hd cables last week. the picture is great but the tv is an EDTV, would the picture look better on an HDTV? or would it look the same

im not sure, but who even cares about HD? I can barely tell the difference, and please dont flame me about it.

it would look better....I was reading an article not long ago that said generally HDTV looks about 20% better

define "looks better" does that mean sharpness, quality of picture, etc. I dont plan on wasting money on something I probably wont even use.

EDTV are actually quite good. They give out a picture closer to that of a hdtv rather than an sdtv.

quality of picture.....an HDTV runs at a higher resolution, EDTV is 5 something (i think) where as HD TV's are 720, 1080i or 1080p
