I'm playing Elder Scrollz IV: Oblivion Game Of The Year Edition and I lost my Divine Crusader equipment!! I accidentally murdered someone and I wasn't able to wear my Divine armor, so instead of revisiting the Shrines of the Nine, I put my armor in a cupboard in a room I rented in the Elven District in the Imperial City. After awhile, I decided to revisit the Shrines and when I went to the room to get my stuff, it was nowhere to be found. I thought if you put items in a cupboard they would be there always. Now I have looked everywhere and can't find my armor. I really don't even know where to begin. If some know if there is a way to get my armor back or if I'm just completely screwed let me know. I will really really appreciate it. Please Please Help! Thank You

The developers of the game claim that your stuff can be stolen by NPCs. Not sure how true this is (I've never caught a character with my gear), but there are a lot of unsafe places to store your loot and it often disappears if you don't stash in a secure location e.g. one of your houses or the chest at the Arena.

1-it depends where you put it, if it wasnt your house, dont expect it to be there the next day 2-one of the conditions of the crusader armour is i dont think you can commit a crime, try going back to the crusader shrine and getting the armour back. but it isnt that good, daedric armour is still the best

maybe check the stand for the armour in the wenyon priory and if its not there well than your probably screwd but the madness armour in the shivering isles is better than the divine crusader armour anyway.

i really hate to inform you of this but, it is gone forever........really you will never have it again, unless you reload a previous save, or start a new character. now let me explain why this happens. In Oblivion they use random loot, so if you go into someones house and steal stuff it will magiclly refill with new stuff, most containers are subject to this random loot, however houses YOU buy are not, so heres what happened to you, you put your stuff in a chest, dresser, something and after around 3 days the loot in the container RESET replacing your stuff with yarn or a plate........this really sucks and if your used to playing Morrowind then you woulnd't of known, LET IT BE KNOWN DO NOT PUT IMPORTANT THINGS YOU WANT TO KEEP INSIDE CONTAINERS THAT DON'T BELONG TO YOU! now if there is anything else you would like to know about the game feel free to shoot me a message, i wasted most of my highschool after school career with that game and know a lot......

yeh, but it looks terrible and your infamy has to remain at 1 or lower to wear it, completely unrealistic

Easy solution. Delete KotN, save, re-download it and do the quests again.

Damn straight. The Dark Brotherhood has what I consider to be the best questline of any guild in Oblivion as well as the most rewarding. I think it even rivals the main quest in it's epicness. Also, to the topic creator: You do realize that, instead of putting the armor in a cupboard, you could have simply just dropped it on the ground? It would have been sitting in the exact same spot 527,458,524 days later. Items you drop never move or disappear.

The developers of the game claim that your stuff can be stolen by NPCs. Not sure how true this is (I've never caught a character with my gear), but there are a lot of unsafe places to store your loot and it often disappears if you don't stash in a secure location e.g. one of your houses or the chest at the Arena.

NPCs stealing gear? Being I have never seen this done before, that almost sounds like a lame cover up for an obvious glitch. I had the same problem as you Cabellero, I lost many items when I left them in a hobo bag.

Yeah, I was suspicious about it myself. I think the Bethesdaline (either in the Making Ofor previews for game) was that "If you leave your stuff any old place don't expect it to be there when you come back", and they actively encouraged the idea that NPCs could steal from you. Never seen it, but it would add another dimension to the sequel if your house could be robbed and you had a means (as a sidequest, say) of tracking down the thieves through informants or something like that.
