ive gotten all my HDMI cables for around $10 (some as cheap as $5)

all HDMI cables are the same because of the digital signal it transfers (it will either transfer it perfectly or it wont transfer at all)

No, I can go to newegg.com or tigerdirect.com and find an hdmi cable with prices ranging anywhere from $5-$60. The reason you see these unbelievably expensive HDMI cables at Bestbuy is because that's how they make their cash.

Hey, you just got that new 40" 1080p Samsung, you'll need an HDMI cord to go with that for any peripheals and we just happen to have them here! Bam, you're spending another $100 on an overpriced cord.

how is tha guy an ignorant consumer? he's into electronics and prefers top-notch quality for his electronics like i do....i didnt buy a monster cable hdmi cord for my ps3 because it wasnt in stock t but i did buy an 80 dollar one which is alot betta then ur cheap 8 dollar ones....for the Elite i would buy a monster cable so i could get the most out of the elite picture cuz i got a 42 inch Hitatchi 1080i(sucks i need 1080P)LCD and i just need the best they have to offer for my electronics thas just who i am Brickz187

It's basically the same product... there is no real gain from those monster cabls except maybe if they offer a warranty, or they're longer.

no doubt man? its people like brickz refuse to accept this fact since they've already spent so much money on a simple cable. Shoot i got 2 cables from monoprice. One hdmi cable and one hdmi to dvi cable for my ps3. Both 15 ft cables, and i only paid 20CAD after shipping from monoprice

All HDMI cables are basically the same, no matter the price.  Albeit, the more expensive cables are made with better materials, however,  they are still the same!

LOL yea ur pc is better than mine. Im picking up a 30incher and stepping up to a GTX within a month tho, and might be switching to intel quad core in the summer unless AMD rolls out their quads by then. Thats about all the pc talk ill put in here

How, if you read a little more. You would realize that you can buy the 120 GB Hard Drive now, and have it shipped to your house now. So next time you make a statement like that, make sure you know what the hell you are talking about. Plus, I assumed you were smart enough to figure out that when I said the system was available, that preorders were available, but I guess I was wrong.

I bought the 120gb Hardrive Sunday and that was the only thing out of the Elite sku I wanted.

ok i won't belittle anyon3 by insulting them and calling them an idiot or yatta yatta yatta... however had you done some research before dropping 80-150 on an hdmi cable you would have found that back in the day with analog connections like composite and component, the quality of the cable, the gold connections over the silver, etc., all made a difference... however now hdmi is a digital connection where you can't change it with the quality of the cable so our cheap-ass 8 dollar cable is going to give us the exact same picture (depending on the tv) as your 150 dollar cable... however i will state that i'm not l33t so i'm not sure if the silver versus the gold connection still varies anything on the digital connection... and if it does thats great... cause my 8 dollar cable has gold connectors... just a little simple research and any can avoid sounding like a dumba$$...

ps... if i said anything that made me sound like a dumba$$, then sweet my job here is done.
