I plan on buying a 360 Elite but i was just wondering if people are having the same problemswith this console than withthe regular 360?(game freezing, rings of doom, game scratching, etc...) I guess what i´m asking is: has Microsoft finally released a reliable console with the Elite so i can finally get one? thanks.

The newest 360's (I believe all versions, but I might be wrong) have better cooling than the original versions. So they should be less prone to issues. The disc scratching was something to do with the older DVD-roms and since the drive has been changed, that's not a problem. Also, in some cases people were moving the console while the disc was spinning leading to issues.

I've had my premium console since July of last year and had not had a single problem with it just as countless million others. So the newer consoles are even less so to have issues..

Enjoy your new 360.

Even non-Elites are now coming out with the added heat sink. So, if you get a just out of the factory 360, it should be good to go.

My first 360 Premium was broken out of the box. I was disgusted.

My Elite has been perfect since I got it on launch. I am very pleased.

i am thinking of getting an extra 360, probably an elite.  I've had no problems at all with my 360, but i can't justify to myself payin almost 200 dollars just for the hard drive.  plus i'd have the option of selling my current 360.

maybe it's a dumb idea...  i just wish the hard drive wasn't so freakin expensive.   i could care less about hdmi, cause i use vga
