all the elite has over the pro is the HDD space. in all honesty i never use that much HDD space anyway.
get a pro then ask for some accessories for the same price as the elite.
if your stingy about the color then im sure you know which one to pick. elite runs quieter then the premium and premium offers more stuff to its package then the elite. if your a true gamer i recommend a elite
Get the elite and just use the ethernet cable instead of wi-fi. wi-fi is dumb since u don't get as good connection as a wire._KenKittyragi_lol ken nice mass effect picture there u got with ur face in it .. if thats u lol and that cracks me up - good stuff!
One thing to consider is the Fall update coming out in a few days will have Xbox1 games availible for download. If you didn't own an Xbox last gen I would buy the Elite just for that future. Same goes if you think downloading tv shows/movies/in hd from video market place.
With me, I'll start feeling the smaller hard drive when those classics come out. Crimson Skies with revived online play =:)
Always go for a wire over a wireless connection.Louis_Routledgeyou know nothing about wireless then. yes ethernet connection does have faster transfer speeds, but only if you have a gigabit network setup. You will never use this with internet, because the most you can get out of dsl/cable is 10mb connection. Guess what your wireless network does 54mb connect speeds. you know what that means 44mb of extra speed you will never use for live. 54mb is enough for streaming hdtv content. on top of that new N routers can do 300mb. the only issue you may have is how far you are from your router. if you buy a cheap offbrand router than maybe the range may be bad. I live two houses away from my Friend ( well over 200ft) and he's able to get a 30% signal off my router. unless you have steel beams blocking your router and network adapter you should have no problems on live. I use to game with a 100'' blue ethernet cable running through out my house. My wife didn't like it too much, so I went wireless. I have yet to notice the difference but the unsightly cables and tripping over them from time to time. go wireless if you can.
Okay...Im getting the elite...and I want to know ahead of time (if you're kind enough to answer), what exactly I need to do to play online. I've researched alot, and I have a general idea and still...I need to connect to the internet connection from another room. I understand that it would have to be wireless (?), but what is everything I would need to set it up, and set it up so that if I'm online playing, I won't bother the person on the computer who is on the internet?
Thanks

You will have to get the wireless adaptor if you want wireless however you can just get a really long ethernet cable (if its in the next room and save yourself alot of money. Also playing on live does not (significantly) effect other internet users.
You need:
1 router
2 internet connection
3 Xbox live GOLD acct.
