My birthday is coming up and I was going to use my money to buy an Xbox 360.  Originally I was going to go with the Elite, but now I am thinking I should go with the Pro to save $80.  My question, is 20 GB enoungh for Xbox Live arcade games and demos?  Also Do you think I should go with the Elite or Pro? Thanks for listening and helping.

Yes, 20gb is more then enough for your gaming needs..  Plus if you don't have an 1080p HDTV you'll never take advantage of the HDMI which isn't really worth it to begin with..

it all depends on what type of gamer you are. As of now, I only have 3.9GB left. I download a lot of  XBLA games among other things. I'll be needing a bigger hard drive soon. Sadly, I wish the ELITE came out before I bought my $400 XBOX 360 so I would of gone with that instead. Still pisses me off that MS couldn't include the wireless adaptor, cause that's another $100--almost the price of a PS3.

I have every Arcade game downloaded a few demos, and a bunch of South Parks shows..  Still have have 10gbs..  107 game saves currently and plenty of space...  Buying the Elite cause it's black just proves what idiots people are.. If you want to 120gb's, then buy the hard drive seperate

Uh well I have about 7 demos including the C&C3 demo (1GB) on there and only 2 arcade games but I could definatly get more if I wanted to and my total space left is at: 8.1GB free. I'd say that's pretty good. And once I'm done with the crappy demos I'll delete them and have more space.

I'd still get the ELITE. If you're thinking down the road, 20GB will not last you that much, especially if you plan on downloading a bunch of XBLA games. Maybe not in a few months, but maybe in a year or so. Why not get the hard drive included at 120 for $80 more, instead of buying it later at $179. Just something to think about.

the elite is a better value cuz u do get a bigger hdd and its only 80 bucks more. you will use up the disk space pretty fast so i would recommend that you go for the elite. besides its black.

think about it this way, you could go buy a 20 gig ps3 for 20 bucks more than the elite (only on ebay though because they dont make 20 gig ps3's anymore) which already has the HDMI capability AND has blu-ray integrated. If you were to get the elite just to download HD movies then why not just buy them on blu-ray? Arcade games are a different story though. I, myself, do not keep demos very long, maybe 2 months tops, and i might download free tv shows and an occasional XBLA game. I only have like 2 or 3 of those on my hard-drive. But its totally up to you guy, its your money. I just wouldn't waste it on the elite.

demos arent a problem for me since since i play em and delete right away. XBLA games on the other hand are a problem as well as downloadable content.

Just get pro... I mean that 20 GB will last a long long time... and well its all for the better, you will be able to get more games or accessories with your purchase... I mean unless you are planning to download a bunch of movies get the elite, but honestly just go with pro

I bought the Pro alittle over one year ago. I have a 720p HDTV. SO with that being said, I do download tv shows, and arcade games. Not to much demos though. I have 28 arcade games, and about 21 or 22 HD tv shows. I bought the 120g HDD because I already had pro, but if you plan on downloading stuff get the elite, it is cheaper than buying a pro now and needeing to buy the 120g HDD later. But if your going to use it strickly for gamming and nothing else the pro is fine, unless you have a 1080p tv. Now you might say that you will never download TV shows, I said te same thing and I still did, so keep that in mind. If I was you I would pick up elite, because it is better to have the HDD room and not need it, than to need it and not have it. Just think it is going to last you about 4 years, then the new 360 will probably come out.

I'm surprised nobody has said anything about it yet but when you buy an XBLA game you can always delete it if you need the space and download it again later for free.  the same goes for DLC for games such as Oblivion or GRAW you can delete the content when done with it and always get it free later.  If you are that concerned about free space then by all means go for the Elite.

You can only use ~ 75% of your 20GB. I suggest buy the elite if you have the money, its well worth it.
