Hello.

I'm aware of the differences as far as what is in the box. I'm more interested in what are the technical differences between the systems. For instance, better optical drive, faster processing, less chance of RRODs, etc.

If this helps, both the Elite and Pro near my area have a manufacturing date of April 2008. Thank you in advance.

There is no physical difference between an Elite and a Pro console. They use the exact same hardware, just the casing and accessories are different.

The Elite comes with some extra accessories but no difference other wise. All the 360 consoles share the same hardware.

Wrong-o

some 360's have a differnt size chip, some have a 90mm some have a 75mm and soon their will be a 45mm (reduces cost and less overheating)

I could be wrong on those bumvers but its close...

think the elite do have a more effeicient chipset but then again that will and probly has filtered through to the lower versions so too be honest not much technical difference, though if you want a big drive getting an elite is technically cheaper than getting a premium and then upgrading to the bigger drive

True, just newer manutacturing specifications, but same performance specifications. My Elite has same specifications as my friends old 360. He got his when the 360 was first released. So as far as performance the hardware is all the same.
