I'll say Mass Effect, then Assassins Creed and COD4 last because from what I heard the MP is what really makes the game, so to me that rules it out from being epic at all
If you have online COD 4. If you don't I would choose Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect some other time. Right now I am getting both Assassin's Creed and CoD 4. Going to get Mass Effect later.

I beat COD4 on hardened (pretty much a perfect difficulty level for me, not too hard yet not simple) and played the beta. Haven't gotten around to playing any multiplayer since buying it becauseof the glut of single player games I've got on my hands at the moment (see my GT)!I've already got Mass Effect and am enjoying it quite a bit; also a stellar game. I plan on picking up Assassin's tomorrow (or Wed if they make me wait....). There's no way you could get me to skip either of these games.
I'd find a way to get em all if I were you. Otherwise it depends on what you're looking for. CoD4 for great multiplayer, Mass Effect for long, rich RPG with a stellar storyline, Assassin's Creed if you're looking to for good ole beat em up action adventure stealth game. Or you can look it at like so... Assassin's Creed is set medieval times, CoD4 in modern and Mass Effect in the far future. So are you interested in a historic setting, modern setting or Sci-Fi setting?
so far i am enjoying every minute of Call Of Duty 4, just beat it on hardened and about to start on veteran. campaign is awesome and multiplayer blows halo 3 out of the water in my opinion. But assasins creed and mass effect both look incredible. i will definately be picking them both up within the next month or so, but until i play them my GOTY choice would be COD4.
also i think super mario Galaxy has a strong chance of take the win.
i already have cod 4 and ill probably get mass effect once i sell my wireless headset and vision camera but i dont think ill be getting assassins creed. ill probably rent it though
id say AC, then COD4, the ME, just because im not that big of an RPG'er. i got Cod4 and its awesome, but i had to choose between it and AC, which now that i have 4, my thirst for AC is crazy. must have.....must have....
Thankfully for me I don't have to choose just one: AC + CoD4 FTW!!!
The verdict for ME is still out for me, not because I don't think it won't be an incredible game, but because it's a rare RPG that I actually like (so far only GW and Fable). Plus I'm betting on AC and CoD keeping me busy at least until Christmas.
