Im thinking about getting the game. Never played it before before, dont have an original XBOX so playing on the 360 is my only choice. I just want to know how well it runs & if it is even playable on the 360 becuz i know some Backwards Compatible games run like *ss.

The Xbox 360 does not run Windows 7. Anyway, here's a video I found of some gameplay through a 360: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofTc4hsqDuE&feature=related It seems slow to me, but my only experience with the game previously was around 2003 and the PC version.

It runs, its playable. It seems alittle slower and uglier than I remember though lol. You'd think an older uglier game like that would run faster on a newer system. Guess I am just used to PCs when it comes to backwards compatiblity.

It's ES 3 not 4 (yes sorry for goning super nerd on you there lol)

My friend got it for his 360 and it only works for awhile before it crashes and you have to restart your system. It tends to freeze A LOT on his 360, I don't know if it's just because it's BC (a lot of BC games tend to do that) or if it's the game or just his system, but it's always guranteed to freeze on you after every couple hours or so.

I wish Bethesda would just release an Elder Scrolls 3 remastered edition, put it in HD and make it have trophies/achievements and sell it for a cheap price like $20-$30. That way they would iron out all the kinks and have no issues with the game. But some gameplay mechanics are outdated, wish they would give it the Skyrim treatment.

My advice is just get it for PC, I'm pretty sure your PC can handle it as Morrowind is a VERY old game. I think it was released in 2002, the game isn't very demanding at all. Plus you can get some pretty sweet mods, that's what I did.

I play Morrowind on my PC with graphic enhancer mods like this:

Morrowind Graphic Mods

It's not as demanding as it looks, don't worry. My PC is FAR from the best but it can still run Morrowind with this mod perfectly fine.

I'd get it for PC, to be honest - the Xbox version runs at 480p and poorly at that. The PC one is cheap at this point and runs on pretty much any awful integrated hardware of the last few years.

Thanks for the link. I'll watch some of these videos & see how i feel about it. I have to get this game one way or another.

Yea you would think. Now if only microsoft had implemented backwards compatibility better things would probably run smoother. Well thanks for taking the time to check your game.

My Bad. I dont know why i was thinking Elder Scrolls 4.

Probably because Skyrim is kind of lacking any charm, its too dumbed down, Oblivion has been on my mind lately & thats what led to thinking about going back & playing Morrowind since i have never played it & it would be the next best thing besides Oblivion

I do wish Bethesda would make an HD rerelease ES3 for consoles. That would be great.

As for playing it on PC, well my PC is terrible & im a complete noob when it comes to dealing with computers. I use my PC for very basic needs.
