i, along with many others was happy to hear the news at e3 that espn was coming to xbox live gold members free of charge. I read online, however that you will already need an active subscription to espn to recieve it on xbox. is this correct?

I wonder if Canada will get it, but i doubt it because we don't even have ESPN up here.

I hope that is all it will cost. I got a 3 year subscription to the mag/Insider for like $10 on Discount Mags. Otherwise it isn't worth paying extra.

I mean this in a very non-hateful way... I'm glad I live in the US. I feel bad that other countries get screwed out of stuff. Always so many twists and turns. Why can't it all just be simple?

what it means is that if you can go on your computer and ACTUALLY WATCH some content it will work. for a list go here http://espn.go.com/espn3/affList. if your ISP is on the list, it should work. i have att and it works along with a free espn account. so try it out

there's no way you dont get ESPN in canada. Your particular cable provider may not offer it, but Direct TV and other Satelite TV companies offer it I am sure. I wouldnt even have cable without ESPN.

ESPN3 isnt free. If you can already watch it via your PC then it means you are paying for it through your ISP.

having espn capabilities on your xbox is free but wouldnt you have to pay to view select games not offered on local TV? They charge you extra to watch out of area games on cable and sattelite so I would suspect they do the same here.
