ESRB Really messed up on rating call of duty 4!

Rated M for: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, and Strong Language.

Blood and Gore- Lots of blood every time you shoot someone, gore during headshot video sequenes (you see brain matter spray all over) and a certain mission where you snipe off a certain gentleman's arm.

Intense Violence- People scream as they die and try to crawl away from you after they are shot. There are also several brutal executions in the game.

Strong Language- A few s-bombs, some d-bombs and h-bombs sprinkled throughout the campaign make it a strong language rating. Not as bad as some games, but it meets the ESRB's criteria for not being appropriate for young folks. Strong language alone wouldn't make the game M, the violence is the main contributor.

Too bad for those of you under the age of 17 with parents who are in-the-know!

But seriously, this is a violent game, much moreso than previous installments.
