Eternal Sonata?

Wondering what everyones thoughts on one of the 360's first jRPGs is.

I just downloaded the demo a little while ago and I have to say that I thought it was really impressive game graphically and gameplay-wise. The battle system reminded me alot of playing Star Ocean 2 on the ol' playstation.

I didn't say it was the first I said it was one of the first.

I just think if more 360 gamers would try games like this then we would more diverse games instead of just shooters.

Judging by his signature, avatar and recent games in his gamer card, I'd say because it doesn't have ninjas or machine guns. I'm glad that I'm not him.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy the occasional Gears of War or Halo, but I sometimes want a change a pace.

Thats why i'm looking forward to Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and this game so much.

Yup, glad to see there are some other people who would like to see more variety. I like some shooters, I just enjoy the level of character develop and story that you get in RPGs and similar genres more. I also like games that are fun, rather than "gritty and realistic".

I'll be getting Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, Overlord, Lost Odyssey and anything else that'll give me a break from headshots.

Oh I forgot about overlord, played the demo thought it was great too. Kinda made me think of what being evil in Fable should have been like. hXcKing

Aye. I think the official description of Overlord is Fable meets Pikmin meets Dungeon Keeper, which, to me, makes a great game. I certainly prefer it over The Darkness, which comes out on the same day.

Yeesh, let's please just act like Enchanted Arms didn't happen. It was very far from perfect, and actually I thought it was short for an rpg, but one thatfelt long because of its mediocrity.

I'm very much looking forward to Eternal Sonata, and to all 07 JRPG's in fact. I will be picking them all up, because we need to support diversity on our console!

Even though jRPGs aren't everyones cup of tea.

Couldn't hurt to give the demo a try before you make up your mind though?

I cant wait for this game. Ill defenitly be picking it up. But i havent played the demo yet. Does anyone know if i can still make a japanease acount and download itor has microsoft made something to stop that(region code)?

I love JRPGs. I hope this game has a deep story like tales of symphonia(great game)did.
