hello i was wondering does lost oddesy have the same gameplay like eternal sonata. I have only played eternal sonata's demo and i liked it. im new to this kind of games so i dont know any better as to what to expect from each other. are they the same type of game styles? which is longer and over all better just wondering because gamespot seems to hate all games equally thats not CoD4 or Halo3

Lost Odyssey is turn-based. it's not like Eternal Sonata where you can move your characters around and stuff. LO seems to be a much longer game and it's probably less linear than Eternal Sonata. I love Eternal Sonata so far and I plan on getting Lost Odyssey. LO just sounds like a longer game, though.

i know most gomes dont let you move around like ES does and i dont really care about graphics even though both are great. Gameplay and how long they last are just as important as the ending IMO i was just wondering what was better to get first.

ya i dont really consider them the same type of game except for some minor aspects, if u love turn based games with great story than LO will be your "bag o' tea", if you like a more real time rpg than Sonata will probably be more of your "cats meow"

Lost Odyssey is the reason I kept my 360. I had it packed up and everything, but I caved and bought Lost Odyssey. Great decision. I love both games quite a bit. Lost Odyssey is your traditional JRPG, which is why it gets slammed and why I LOVE it. Eternal Sonata is new and unique, which is why I love it :) Eternal Sonata's focus on music is awesome. Lost Odyssey is also graced by a fantastic soundtrack. They are very different, but if you're even remotely a fan of JRPGs, buy them both. Hell, maybe I'll get taht stinky blue dragon sometime.... nah, I'll stick to the two good jrpgs :)

I LOVE ANIME! I just hated the clunky battle system from the demo. I didn't like the namesake of the game... the blue dragons :P But for 38 bucks, you never know, I may be persuaded someday :)

I agree with your comment. Lost Odyssey is such a wonderful game. Likeable characters, memorable soundtrack, challenging strategic turn-based JRPG, gorgeous graphics - I never got sick and tired of watching Kaim or Seth charge at their enemies. Lost Odyssey is one of those games that you dont go by what reviewers say. I am 6 hours into the game and I love every moment of it. If I had to rate the game now, I would give it a 9.2. You wont have any regrets with this purchase. Just remember, dont get frustrated if things become too difficult. You may have to refer to online guides and tips to get through your adventure. Hope this helps.

I HATED the Blue Dragon demo to, but i enjoyed the retail version of the game alot. Its not great (as in not as good as eternal sonata or Lost Odessey, but its still worth checking out), but not bad either :D

Eternal Sonota was a good JRPG, but around the end it just got mehish. The story went all over the place, the last boss battles were pathetic. It was still good, but the ending wasnt exactly as exciting as it should have been IMO.

Personally the first couple of hours in Lost Odyssey is allready amazing.

The story is reall well done, the characters are much more likeable, the thousand years of dream stuff is quite sad and very well written. This game is some great story telling if you are into JRPGs.

Same here, but don't get me wrong I still like Eternal Sonata very much. BTW there is a Eternal Sonata demo, so try it out yourself.
