Eternal Sonata vs. Blue Dragon

So? which one do you like more? i assume most of you have played them both?

In the beginning, it seemed blue dragon had more hype but i had a feeling blue dragon wasnt going to be as promising as eternal sonata, and i was right.

after playing both i liked the eternal sonata demo more than the blue dragon one.

but the blue dragon demo itself was boring so i cant fully say anything about the game yet, cuz all that demo really do was send you into a boring dungeon for 60mins fighting random monsters, where as the eternal sonata one felt more like a quest.

Judging from the demo only i would probably rate eternal sonata a 9/10

and i would probably give blue dragon a 8.5/10

which demo did you guys like more? btw i thought that eternal sonatas fighting was much more fun and action paced, but the blue dragons fighting system was pretty dull...i also prefer the graphics in eternal sonata, fighting poo looking enemys in blue dragon isnt really my style.

I agreed, with ES,LO and BD coming out soon im only gonna have time for 2 rpgs. And Lost odyssey is one of them. If I had to pick I would get eternal sonata because Im a hugh classical music fan but if I had the money and time for all I would get all.

I prefer Blue Dragon myself. I like the old-school Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest feel more than the Tales of thing that Eternal Sonata has going on.

Both great games though, and day one purchases for me. Blue Dragon is actually the game I decided to buy a 360 for when I saw it at E3 last year.

lol the monsters in blue dragon kinda bugged me...so cartoonish.

but it was mostly the fighting system that got me.

althought they had a lot of shadows and stuff, i explored all of em pretty soon. all the melee classes have the same skills and as do the mages. i just did flarus and flarus over and over again...

i have yet to try the demo of ES

but i'm definitelypicking up BD on release day

im also lookin forward to lost oddessy the most, along with mass effect.

Lost odyssey is like a guy who has lived for 1000 years but he can't seem to remember his past. I guess as the story goes on his past will be reveal. Very interesting storyline like xenogears for ps1.
