Ethernet cable question please help

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but my wireless adapter seems to have been lagging a lot this week, and i decided maybe i should try out a wired connection. I heard the connection is a lot better, but the problem is that my xbox is a bit to far away from my modem, and the ethernet cable that came with the xbox is to short. Is there any way for THAT cable to connect to my modem?

bring the modem next to your 360. thats what i do. my pc is downstairs and my 360 is upstairs so i bring it up.

its annoying always bringing it back and forth but it works well.
